Landmark公司Discovery微機油藏描述係統模塊簡介 Discovery的前身是GES，GES是80年代初由GeoGraphix，Inc.公司發展的產品，主要是為地質學家提供的地質分析軟件。GeoGraphix，Inc.是全世界第二家在 Windows 下開發商業化軟件的公司。GES是一套被全世界地質學家廣泛接受的地學分析軟件工具。1995年底，Landmark收購GeoGraphix，並在GES係統之上添加測井分析軟件Prizm和地震解釋軟件SeisVision。 Landmark公司看到了微機發展潮流，把公司大量的人力、物力投入到微機產品上，同時把工作站上先進技術移植到微機上，於2000年推出全新的Discovery。它具有統一數據庫，統一數據管理平臺；從地質綜合分析，地震迭後處理，地震解釋，正演模型，測井解釋及評價，儲層屬性管理與預測，構成一套統一工作流程、統一界面風格的油藏描述係統。
